Our Ancestors have used elderflower for decades for its health benefits while enjoying its exceptionally delicious beverages.
Elderflower is said to be one of the most medicinal plants in the world because it contains large amounts of flavonoids, carotenes, and vitamin C.
It is known that elderflower treats flu, congested sinuses, bronchitis, asthma, and allergies. Additionally, elderflower juice has been proven to boost immunity and helps with diabetes and constipation.
Cough Tea
Tea made from dried elderflower blossoms treats persistent and dry coughs. This tea can also be given to children; just make sure to consult your doctor first. All you need to do is dry the elderflower blossoms in a dark and dry place, then crush them into a jar and store for tea.
Sensitive Skin Lotion
Elderflower lotion works wonders for sensitive skin. To make it, pour two cups of boiling water over 25 grams of dried elderflower blossoms and cover. Once cooled, strain into a clean glass container and store in the refrigerator.
Soak a piece of cotton wool in the lotion and cleanse your face. It soothes and refreshes sensitive skin. Use elderflower lotion over the next three days.
Elderflower Juice
During the summer days, we all enjoy elderflower juice. It’s very easy to make. Soak 20 fresh elderflower blossoms in 1 liter of cold water. Let it sit in a cool place (but not in the refrigerator) for 24 hours. Strain, add 800 grams of sugar and the juice of 1 lemon, and let it sit for another 24 hours. Stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar. Strain through a double cheesecloth and pour into bottles.
This juice is diluted with water, and you can also use sparkling mineral water to prepare it.
Black Elderflower, a Cancer Remedy
A man from Bulgaria caused a stir by claiming that his black elderflower remedy helped him beat cancer. Black elderflower grows around river channels and produces fruit resembling blueberries.
The fruit ripens at the end of August and the beginning of September. The fruit should be well ripe to have medicinal properties. When picking the berries, wash them and place them in jars, alternating one layer of berries with one layer of sugar until the jar is full.
Store the jar in a sunny place so that it can ferment. After two weeks, close the jar and place it in the refrigerator.
You can make 2, 3, or 4 jars, but you must have at least two to have enough of this remedy until next year. Take at least 1 teaspoon every morning on an empty stomach, 10 minutes before meals. Those who have used this remedy say that once cancer is defeated, it does not return.
